bluebell's story

Picture

Bluebell was a healthy 14 month old toy schnauzer when out of the blue she suddenly started having an occasional small seizure.  This would consist of twirling around on her bottom and licking the air.  It started slowly and progressed to every hour and was especially bad just after she had eaten.  This was frightening to us.

She was constantly at the vets but with no improvements.  She was referred to the ASH Specialty Animal Hospital in Naples, Florida.  After several days of tests she was diagnosed with a very small undeveloped liver with a suspected liver shunt.  Her Bile Acids from the Bile Acid Test were extremely high at just under 100.  We were sent home with an array of medications and an exploratory operation was booked for a month later.  The medications did not help and she continued to have seizures.

That's when I took to the Internet and found Rick and Cindy at www.doglivershunt.com.  With Rick's guidance and support, together with a lot of tears - (mine not his!), he held my hand through her detoxification.  It was very unpleasant as she was so very sick.  Without Rick’s help I would not have understood this process and the importance of it for Bluebell’s healing.   She needed to go through this process to save her life.  None of the vets we consulted ever talked to us about this.  Their approach was just more medications and more procedures.

We are thrilled to report that Bluebell has been transformed from a very sick little dog, to a dog that is full of life and very healthy.  The operation was cancelled.  Her bile acid levels are now at an acceptable level and she has been discharged by the hospital.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you Rick and Cindy for saving Bluebell's life.  She now has a new baby sister, Willow and is full of life to play and go on her walks (see video of Bluebell and Willow playing – this is adorable).  Best of all she is free from the seizures that scared us so much.  Both sisters now benefit from Rick and Cindy’s nutritional regimen and are healthy and enjoying life to the fullest.  I cannot imagine what we would have done if we had not found your website and started on your path of natural healing.
