Chopin's story

Chopin and Bella
I can’t thank you enough for all the help you’ve given me starting a new nutrition plan for my little boy “Chopin”.  The last  six weeks have been so upsetting for me after being told that chopin may have a liver shunt based on his weight 5.6 lbs, slight build, and elevated bile acid test and ALT liver enzymes.  His ultrasound did show a small liver with no visible signs of any shunting or any masses.  All other organs were normal.

I just couldn’t imagine putting him through any invasive procedures such as a portagram and liver biopsy.  These tests do tell me he may possibly have Microvascular Dysplasia (MVD) which vets can not do anything for but treat medically with antibiotics and diet.

I was so lucky that my breeder put me in touch with you.  Chopin is doing well with his new diet.  He gained some weight and he now weighs 5.9 lbs (2 oz increase, wow...).  Also his body feels more solid.  The breeder even noticed the improvement when she groomed him on June 21, 06.  She said he felt more substantial.  This initial improvement done with changing his diet.    I also give him all the whole food supplements you recommended. I know he will continue to improve.  I can see and feel the difference in his body already.

UPDATE:  All is well here in New Jersey!!.  Can you believe Chopin will be 5 yrs old this month on 1/16/2010. He is a healthy and happy little boy.  Bella will be 2 yrs old in April.  I've included a current picture taken of them a few weeks ago.   I know you'll enjoy seeing them.
