My name is Maxine and this is my Love Story!
I was born October 4th 2004. My family adopted me from a breeder in Lucerne, CA. I'm a pure bred Miniature Pinscher. Don't confuse me with the Doberman, because we are totally different. My roots go back to Germany, all the way back to the 1700's. Wow!! That was a long time ago.
I was only 8 weeks old when I came to my new home. But finally I would be part of the best loving family one could ask for. I had my mommy, my dad , my brother and sister. They were all human and that is how we related to one another.
I played a lot as most pups do. My mommy bought me squeaky toys that I learned how to squeak and play catch... I would say, " I had quite the Life".
I went hiking, camping, fishing, mall shopping and I loved long walks.
I could be pretty vocal as I barked a lot. I protected the ones I loved. Since I was little, I had to show how big I really was at 12 pounds, especially around "Big Dogs" they didn't scare me! I showed them who was Boss...
I had several toys that were my favorites. I even learned each one by name and would retrieve to my mommy when we played. She called me smarty pants cause I would go get the one she called out.
I remember our summer vacation river trips! I got to ride on boats and jet skies, I even had my own life jacket. So many good memories..
I guess I had pretty good health through the years then things started to change when I turned 11 years old.
One day I just wasn't feeling very well. My mommy took me to the vet. I was throwing up bile as I did on occasion through my younger years, but the vet could not identify why I got sick. They thought it was just a sensitive tummy. This went on for years until age 11. I got some x- rays of my tummy and my gall bladder had ruptured.
I had to go into emergency surgery but that would be a day later for my doctor was not in town to do the surgery. I always slept with mommy and that night was really scary as we waited until the next afternoon for my surgery. during my surgery my doctor opened me up and was horrified with what he saw. He called my mommy while I was under sedation and said I looked pretty bad inside, the ruptured gall bladder had done a lot of damage to some of my insides and he said it would be best to put me down for he did not think I would make it after surgery.
What a strong and faithful mommy I had! She insisted that he clean up my wounds, sew me up, and give me a chance at life! Needless to say my mommy's prayers were answered. I was home and recovering in 2 days. My Love story gets even better. All the vets - a total of 12 at VCA animal hospital in Palm Springs, CA - named me the Miracle Dog, and that I was, but I needed serious changes in my life.
My mommy did her research, always putting me first!
That's when she found Rick Scheyer online at [email protected]. He changed my life forever. He suggested for me to start a detox program and said it would be best to get off regular dog food and start healthy whole foods, just like Mommy and Daddy! I sure did not have a problem with that for I ate everything and loved it all. Organic meats, fresh ground up veggies, some fruits, coconut water, It was the best thing ever.
Thank You Rick for your understanding and knowledge which gave me another 4 years of life!! Old age finally came upon me. Although I was getting tired after all, in doggie years I was 105 years old. Wow!!
If you want your dog to thrive like I did and live to a ripe old age, then contact Rick for his help. My mommy requested a free consultation to start with.
I never lost my playful spirit and the Love that I and my family shared!
Love is truly a Gift from God and I lived it to the fullest!!
I am now in doggie heaven waiting to someday be united with my family once again!!
My Love extended to All,
Maxi
