Goodie and Buddy's story

Picture
Goodie and Buddy December 2011
Thank God for His grace and favor! I am so blessed to be able to share this great news.  Just less than 5 months ago, I was feeling rather hopeless and down about the conditions of both my beloved miniature schnauzers.  Buddy who is now 12, had lost a front leg to bone cancer in June 2011 and Goodie who is now 13,  was found to have elevated liver enzymes in September 2012.  An annual blood test showed Goodie’s ALP level to be 628 (normal under 150) and his ALT level to be 192 (normal under 100).  This was a big blow to me especially so when I thought I had taken so much care in their dietary plans. I spent lots of time and money preparing them home made meals and a proper supplement program.

In my desperation I started researching on the internet.
I was getting very confused with the conflicting advice and opinions.  I truly thank God that I was led to your website.  I was encouraged by the testimonies and above all, I was truly grateful that you were willing to provide me with some invaluable insights and advice.  I felt that you were genuinely concerned about helping me to get my pets healthy again.

I started both dogs on your approach in late October 2012.  When I was discouraged and concerned about the changes observed during the diet transition period, your patience with me, prompt response and very detailed explanation truly gave me the confidence to persevere.

As a result of this, I am so blessed to be able to share the following results which have also left the vets impressed and at a loss for words:

1.  Both dogs were infested with fleas and ticks and were constantly using Frontline Spot-On and Spray.  After changing their diet, introducing the whole food supplements and the virgin coconut oil for about a month, both dogs are now tick and flea free much to the vets amazement!  I happily threw away all the chemically laden products.

2.  Both dogs are also much more lively and energetic.  Goodie has also trimmed down to a more ideal weight for his frame.  Above all, his recent bloodwork results confirmed that his liver enzymes are back to normal.   His ALT level is now 56 down from 192 just 3 months ago!  Praise God! His ALP level is still slightly elevated but the vet sees no reason for concern, as it had much further the go from 628 to return to normal.

3.  The vet is very happy with Buddy's progress since his amputation.  All the signs seem to point to a complete remission for Buddy.    Praise God

4.  Goodie used to have cysts that would ooze pus.  These cysts refused to dry up and would recur every few weeks. This was the case for the past 6 years. Thank God this has also stopped for the past few months.  I can't even recall when the cysts disappeared!

5.  Buddy used to have very sensitive skin that would cause him to smell very bad after a day or two after bathing. He would also scratch non-stop through the night.  Thank God he has also been healed and the vet recently said that she is so impressed with his skin condition and declared that he now has skin that puts him in the top 5% of all the Schnauzers she has seen

6.  Buddy used to be a victim of rather frequent UTI attacks in the past.  In a visit to the vet in November 2012, we were advised that Buddy needed to undergo surgery to castrate him.  The vet diagnosed that the main cause of the UTI was mostly due to an enlarged prostrate that needed surgery.  We decided to seek the opinion of another vet.  This second vet advised that surgery may not truly resolve the problem for Buddy.  Desperate, I decided to presevere with the real food diet plan together with the supplements recommended by Rick & Cindy.  The results paid off.  Buddy never required another course of antibiotics.  His UTI problem never recurred despite the fact that Buddy remained reluctant to drink water throughout the day.  In the last visit to the vet 2 weeks ago for follow-up, the vet declared that Buddy is completely free of UTI and that he does not need surgery.

7.  Both dogs no longer have the doggy stench emitting from their bodies.  Friends and visitors commented that both Goodie and Buddy (especially Goodie) do not have any doggy stench.  We still bathe them only 2x a week like before.

Another general thing too: my very experienced and reputable vet could not believe that Goodie and Buddy are as senior as they are because he commented that they are doing very well.  Indeed much better than dogs more than half their age.

I thank God for leading me to you!  Thank you so much for your patience and help.  I really appreciate it. May God continue to bless your good works.  You are indeed a blessing to my boys and me.

Praise the Lord for 2 lovely healthy and happy boys! Thank God truly for your help!
